RACE COMMENT
MALIBU DREAM (1) scored at Redcliffe two starts back when overcoming a wide gate and finishing strongly in the closing stages. Outclassed last time in strong time behind REELY NAUTI, returning to this grade helps, despite a nagging concern over her AP record. DOOO DONT THINK (4) is zero from six here at HQ, but he may just have found the conditions to arrest those figures. Snagged back from gate 6 last start at Redcliffe, he finds an open contest and with many of these likely to be gasping late over the 2138, he can issue a challenge. SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (6) was exposed early before receiving cover last start at Redcliffe where he battled on for the bronze. Despite the wide gate, if he can secure position cheaply, he can chime in. BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (8) will be tucked away without doing too much in the run from this gate and will just be awaiting some gaps. Powering home over the top to score four runs back, he just needs the opening.
