RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: MECARNO (5) is racing in outstanding form and considering amongst his five straight victories were the Victoria Derby and the Super Series Final, he is likely to attract plenty of support. He is very strong and outstayed ENCHAUFFOUR (7) in fast time to win his heat last week. VYTIS (3) was very unlucky not to qualify for the Super Series Final when he was checked on the home turn, won the Bronze Final of that event then followed with an eye-catching third behind MECARNO (5) in his heat. He possesses early speed and is not to be underestimated. ENCHAUFFOUR (7) attempted to lead throughout and found MECARNO (5) to be a little too strong for him at his latest attempt. He is not as well drawn now but his overall form is consistent and he should be competitive again.
