RACE COMMENT
A tricky qualifier at the middle trip where CARBINEER (2) might just find the right set up to capitalise. Fading out after a tough trip last time when parked, he has been out sped in recent appearances behind the likes of CHEERSTOLOU, FERNCO NEL and BOLD MEDLEY JUJON. This looks more in the right areas. MY ULTIMATE FLYNN (7) arrives in Qld with 11 wins to his credit to join the Matt Elkins barn. Missing a cheque yet under 3m from the winner LORD ZARIAS two starts back, he comes into this without a public appearance and despite the gate, stays under notice. ROCK HAMMER (10) completed a hat-trick of victories last start when overcoming a wide gate at Redcliffe. Dictating in front over this trip three back, the gate makes it a tough ask. SHARDS MATRIX (9) was beaten for speed from gate 1 last start and from the pocket trail held on for the bronze behind MULLUM HANK. Fitter again after three runs back, he is a podium hope.
