RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: EARL OF PEMBROKE (8) was aggressively driven to find the lead and recorded a slick mile rate of 1.56.5 when he scored at Mildura three starts ago. He is backing up quickly from his effort against the Metropolitan open class at Melton on Saturday and he appears to be very well placed against this line up. RIO ROCK (7) continues to perform consistently at this level and battled on strongly after enduring a tough trip when a close second behind MODERN GINGER (3) last week. She should run her usual honest race. TOUGH AINT ENOUGH (5) is resuming since being unplaced at Melton behind Viney on September 06. He recorded a sizzling mile rate of 1.54.8 at Mildura two starts ago and he boasts an excellent strike rate so he is not to be underestimated. MODERN GINGER (3) led throughout under similar conditions last week and TRIPLE ROCK SAINT (4) recorded a strong victory at Shepparton on November 25.
