RACE COMMENT

STANTON BREAK (5) has had three runs back from a two-year spell. He has finished runner-up in back-to-back starts. He chased home the in-form Kenya at his most recent start, where he was strong through the line. He will require a good tempo and a bit of luck from the draw, but he should be finishing hard here. SPORTZSILK (4) was a good effort at Launceston two starts back before doing things wrong in the run last start, when finishing 3rd to My Bad. He will likely head forward in the run and should be in the mix. ROCKNROLL MCRAE (9) draws behind a good beginner and should be able to track through early from his back row draw. He found the line well last start when finishing runner-up and tonight doesn’t look much tougher. FAR LEFT FLETCH (3) is the least experienced runner in the field having had only 5 starts. She resumed with a win in maiden grade and might be open to further improvement.Selections – STANTON BREAK (5), SPORTZSILK (4), ROCKNROLL MCRAE (9), FAR LEFT FLETCH (3) Race 4TWILIGHT BEACH (1) drops right back in grade tonight and has come up with the pole draw. She was runner-up in good time to the in-form Martyr at Launceston two starts back which reads very well for tonight’s race. OH NO NEVER AGAIN (6) is racing very consistently at present having only missed a place once in his past 7 starts. He will likely head forward despite his wide draw and must be considered. RAGING ON (8) appeared to be travelling quite well last start before breaking and losing all chance. He draws to have a soft pegs run tonight and should get every chance.
