OVERVIEW: RANDOM MAHONEY (7) is awkwardly drawn but has struck peak form and appears to be well placed against this line up. He chased hard for second behind Beach Dancer in a sizzling mile rate of 1.54.2 at Bendigo then scored at Charlton at his next attempt. RONZEL RAFA (8) is resuming since a runaway Mildura victory in December. He won a trial at Mildura last week and he did very well in four starts at his initial campaign of racing so he must be respected. BERSAGLIERE (9) is a South Australian trained pacer, which scored at Globe Derby last outing. He is poorly drawn but warrants respect. CELESTIAL NEBULAE (6) disappointed at his first run since December but he performed very well at the trials prior and is worth another chance.
