RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: UNCLE TREV (8) is terribly drawn but he ran a cracking race for second behind The Postmaster last week, where he led early, eventually took cover when pressured and went down by a narrow margin. He beat the remainder of the field by a large margin so he is capable of going one better here. CHAINSMOKE (10) followed a big trial victory at Bendigo with a first up third behind Where Is Woody, where he finished off strongly out wide on the track. He has returned from a spell in peak form and must be considered as a winning chance. POSTIT LAFITE (9) led throughout when a comfortable winner at Shepparton on August 05. She has been unplaced in four starts since but she is a definite place hope under these conditions. ONYX (4) was placed at a Bacchus Marsh trial effort on Saturday and is worth thought in multiple combinations. EARLY SPEED: 3 (possible leader), 4 RATINGS: 8,10/ 9/ 4/ 3,5,7
