RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: WALLIS (8) finished off quickly from midfield to win at his first run since August. He broke stride early, settled at the back of the pack and had no clear run, seemingly with plenty in reserve when an unlucky sixth at Bendigo last outing. He is awkwardly drawn but has come back from a spell in peak form. STARLIGHT RED (6) led out then took cover when fourth in the Kyabram Cup last week. This is a much easier race and she possesses early speed so she must be included amongst the leading chances. FRANKYTHEFRENCHMAN (7) is backing up quickly from his effort at Maryborough on Friday but he has been racing consistently and should go well again. THE NIGHT QUEEN (4) is also backing up from Maryborough on Friday but she ran a brave fourth after being left without cover in her effort prior so she must be considered as a winning chance.
