RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: FLIP A COIN (7) is backing up quickly from his effort at Wagga on Friday but he chased gamely for second in a slick mile rate of 1.55.2 at Shepparton prior so he must be considered as a winning chance. LITTLE WHIPPET (2) settled three back on the markers, was held up for a run at a vital stage and finished off well for third behind Keayang Santiago last outing. This is his easiest assignment since he returned from a Queensland campaign and should prove hard to beat. CLEM MCCARDLE (3) was resuming since July when a close up sixth (4m) at Ararat. He hasn’t won a race since July 2022 but he gets into this race nicely with a concession claim and has the speed to figure in the finish. OUR MYSTERY BET (5) finished off well from a long way back when fifth (5m) behind Reinder at Shepparton last week. He has been finding the line soundly of late and is worth an investment.
