RACE COMMENT
Less than a month away from the Golden Apple heats and today is another opportunity for the better performed horses to gain valuable stand start experience. STAR MAJOR (11) looks very well placed today despite coming off 20m. He is rock hard fit and a proven standing start performer. GLENLEDI ELVIS (10) closed off strongly behind Star Major at Hobart last Sunday when finishing 2nd. A winner of his most recent stand start run, looks a danger despite the 20m handicap. DE GOEY (8) is an interesting runner today having his 1st run since July. I thought he looked very sharp in his recent trial and if he can begin well, can be competitive on his return. VANQUISH STRIDE (9) was a very good winner of the Show Cup from the stand 3 starts back and has followed that up with a win and a third.
