OVERVIEW: OPERATIVE LINE (10) has been doing most of his racing at open class level so he appears to be well graded in this event. He recorded a slick mile rate of 1.52.7 when he won at Melton two starts ago then followed with a sixth behind Keayang Tokyo last week. He is a tough campaigner and is worth an investment. LOUIE LOU I (12) is poorly drawn but he is very versatile and he finished off fast for third behind Keayang Tokyo last week. He hasn’t finished further back than fourth in seven starts since resuming and deserves to break through for a win. SERGEANT LOU (3) is a smart 4yo pacer, which hasn’t started since being unplaced in a heat of the Victoria Derby back in October. He was a runaway trial winner at Melton last week and he should give a forward showing. MY ULTIMATE BARNEY (4) is a fast beginner and is worth thought along with LE BELLE BIJOUX (6), ARGGGHHH (7) and DIAMOND ECLIPSE (9). EARLY SPEED: 3 (likely leader), 4 RATINGS: 10,12/ 3/ 4,9/ 6,7/ 11
