RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: It is a very tricky race to assess for the juvenile trotters, where manners might be the key to the result. FRENCH MISSILE (5) is a first starter for trainer Philip Chircop, which has won a Melton trial recently and she is out of the former classy mare Class Of Her Own so she must be respected. ZOOLU (8) has been performing reasonably well in several Maryborough trial performances and has the ability to show up. AFRICAN GALA (6) is the most experienced horse in the field and hasn’t been far away at his most recent performances so he is not without a chance. LIFE ON THE HILL (1) has been freshened since his latest fifth at Melton and he was placed on debut at Bendigo so he has claims from the pole position. COOPER KAI (4) will now commence from the outside of the front line after galloping away at Melton on Friday but he has the ability to show up if he delivers a fool proof display.
