RACE COMMENT
  OVERVIEW: DIRECT COMMAND (9) left a trailing position to move up without cover at the 1200m when sixth in fast time at Bendigo on Wednesday. He missed out narrowly behind Muselet prior and he is tough enough to overcome the trailing draw. BYRNESIDE BOOM (8) was working into the race nicely but broke stride on the home turn and lost his chance last week. He is a tough type and is usually competitive against this class so he must be respected. BEE GEE CEE (1) hasn’t won a race since December 2022 but he is dropping back into a workable grade and he is a possible improver from the pole position. KALKADOON DREAMING (5) is a tough pacer, which raced without cover throughout to win at Horsham two starts ago. He has won four races for this season to date and he should be competitive again.   EARLY SPEED: 3 (likely leader), 4,5 RATINGS: 8,9/ 1/ 5/ 3,4
