Placed at his past five in succession, MAJOR JELLIS (3) can look to break a winning drought that now exceeds two years. Game in chasing home BIRKIRKARA last start when 2m astern in a 1.50.6 mile, he has the early hustle to be forward enough to capitalise here. ROYAL SPEECH (9) was faced with this same gate last start where he was trying to make a closing raid and finishing 7m astern of the winner. Wide off the track the start prior when 8m from BETTERTHANAROCKET, with the right tempo, he can descend. CHEZZ DALE (7) has hit the board in all three starts since arriving in Qld, the latest when collared in the last strides by HE AINT FAKIN. The outside paint makes this tough. MIRACLE MOOSE (4) was the best of the chasers last time out when runner-up behind Rising Sun bound THE JANITOR. Chasing home LEAP TO FAME the start prior, back to this grade is a huge plus.
