RACE COMMENT
Faced with this same gate last week at her first outing since crossing the Tasman, LA MIKI (8) was buried back in the pack, eased off the inside but went to the line searching for gaps. Hitting dead ends, if she can get open road in time, she can gain redemption here. BIGGER THE BETTOR (6) was first up in Qld off the back of a long break when pressing to the front and taking them all the way here two starts back. Sent out as the fav last start, he set the tempo but was collared in the closing strides by ROCKON ROCKY. The gate stings. JILLIBY GIDDEY (1) had the race locked up when making an error two starts back and was again sent out as the fav last start when runner-up to BASILISK BOB. The gate is a huge help. CANADIAN LASS (7) grabbed the W at her first appearance in Aus for the new stable here two starts back and then last start was buried in the run. A wide gate makes it a tough ask here.
