OVERVIEW: COL DU GRANON (6) possesses early speed and appears to be well graded in this event so he gets his chance to break through for a win. He was narrowly beaten in a race of similar standard at Maryborough on April 14. MAJOR MAX (7) is the class runner of the field but he has been making errors both at the races and the trials recently so his manners will be the key to the result. MASSIF CENTRAL (3) appeared to have his chance to finish closer when fifth at Melton last week but he was runner up behind Against The Bridle prior and he possesses early speed so he is not without a chance.
