RACE COMMENT

OVERVIEW: PERUN (9) gave the leaders a big start and finished off quickly for second at his Australian debut. He should be better from that run and he was a winner at Addington prior so he is worth following. CRIME WRITER (10) performed below expectations at Terang last week but he was racing in fine form prior and produced a big effort for third in the Mildura Cup so he is worth another chance. IMA TERMINATOR (7) is a lightly raced pacer, which will be working back into his peak form after having two runs since November 2023. He worked hard and held off the late challenge of PERUN (9) last time out so he must be considered as wining chance again. IN AN IDEAL WORLD (2) raced very greenly and missed out narrowly at Cranbourne last outing. He was placed in the Breeders Crown Final last season and he produced an outstanding performance to win in a mile rate of 1.53.3 at the Melton trials on Tuesday so he must be respected.
