RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: METEOR MOTH (1) has been narrowly beaten at his two starts since winning the South Australian Derby in October and gets his chance to break through from the pole position. ROSANNA REBEL (2) was held up for a run at a vital stage and didn’t have the best of luck when fourth at his first run for year. He went nicely at the trials prior and he should strip fitter from his first up performance so he is a definite threat. HARRYHOO (7) possesses a powerful finishing burst and was a big winner in a mile rate of 1.53.0 at Bendigo two starts ago. He is likely to get a long way back from his wide draw but he will be suited if there is a genuine tempo in the early stages of the event. REPELLING (9) and ROCKANDANCE (11) are both racing well enough to figure in the finish and JACCKA CONNOR (8) is a value hope from the trailing draw.
