RACE COMMENT
COMPETE (6) is a newcomer to Queensland joining the Graham Dwyer stable. Only lightly raced and boasting eight wins from 21 starts, he has been given two trials in readiness for the return. Both have been smart hit outs and despite an awkward gate, remains under a big watch. TURN IT UP (8) does have the benefit of being the lone runner on the second line. His point-to-point speed for one quarter is sizzling, and if close enough can deliver the knockout.
