OVERVIEW: It is an interesting race for the juvenile trotters with only THE DARK THUNDER (3) having raced previously. GATESYS GEM (1) was very impressive in her runaway success at a Melton trial last week and she is perfectly drawn so she gets the nod. EL TORNADO (4) has also been impressive at the trials and is still learning so he should keep improving. BETTOR MAN (6) recorded slow time but he completely dominated his rivals when he led throughout at a Maryborough trial victory on Sunday and warrants respect. CLAUDYS HERO (2) is a nicely bred debutante being out of the champion mare Claudys Princess (1.55.5, $401,803). He is well drawn and finished a close second at his latest trial effort so he is worth thought. LOW LIE THE FIELDS (5) struck trouble at his latest performance but must be kept safe. EARLY SPEED: 1 (likely leader), 4,6 RATINGS: 1/ 4,6/ 2/ 3/ 5
