OVERVIEW: MAJOR MANBAR (5) is a strong pacer that likes to go forward at the start and he should gain a good lead on his main danger FYNN FROST (6) in the early stages. He recorded a mile rate of 1.55.1 when he won the Bob Knight Memorial at Kilmore three starts ago and he didn’t have the best of luck at his latest fourth after he commenced from the inside of the second line. FYNN FROST (6) has been racing against strong opposition at Metropolitan level and appears to be well placed with the aid of a concession claim. He possesses a powerful finishing burst, won at his only start at Shepparton previously and performed well at a recent trial effort on the track so he must be rated highly. IDEAL ESCAPE (7) went extremely well at a Bendigo trial victory prior to galloping away and losing his chance at Ballarat. He is better than his form reads and is capable of showing improvement. ZUBERI (4) trailed the leader and finished second in a sizzling mile rate of 1.53.0 at Bendigo then followed with a third at Yarra Valley, where he was doing his best work at the end. He is racing well and is worth an investment. EARLY SPEED: 5 (likely leader), 1,2,4 RATINGS: 5/ 6,7/ 4/ 1/ 2,3
