OVERVIEW: CAROLSDIAMOND (2) is a first starter for trainer Julie Douglas, which followed a close fourth against strong opposition at a Melton trial effort with a distant second at a Bendigo trial behind Forgot The Wallet in a slick mile rate of 1.56.8. She obviously has ability and is worth an investment first up. ROAM (1) has been promising a win for some time and endured a tough run when fifth at Shepparton last outing. She finished hard when second at Shepparton prior and is drawn to go close. YA BOTTOM DOLLAR (4) is usually competitive against this class and should be prominent throughout from his good draw.
