OVERVIEW: DENIS WILLIAM (6) put in a massive performance to finish third behind MONSIEUR DELACOUR (4) at Melton on October 30 and must be rated highly. He settled four back on the outside, came out very wide at the 400m and ran home strongly in an exceptionally fast final quarter of 26.7 seconds. WOULD YOU MIND (1) will appreciate his best draw for some time and is sure to be strongly fancied. He pushed through from the second line, worked to the lead at the mile marker, got held up for a run at a vital stage and ran a good race when fourth behind Zadaka at Kilmore last week. STEEL SCREENS (8) will be relying on WOULD YOU MIND (1) holding a forward position at the start but is a definite threat via the sprint lane. He hasn’t had much luck in three starts since a Bendigo victory on October 02. MONA MIA (9) is racing in career best form and was able to get the prize after settling last of the eleven runners early and trailing into the race in the final lap at Melton on November 06. She should be finishing strongly and is worth thought along with DADNDAVE (2) and MONSIEUR DELACOUR (4). EARLY SPEED: 1 (possible leader), 2,4,5,7 RATINGS: 1,6/ 8/ 2,4,9/ 5,7/ 3

OVERVIEW: DENIS WILLIAM (6) put in a massive performance to finish third behind MONSIEUR DELACOUR (4) at Melton on October 30 and must be rated highly. He settled four back on the outside, came out very wide at the 400m and ran home strongly in an exceptionally fast final quarter of 26.7 seconds. WOULD YOU MIND (1) will appreciate his best draw for some time and is sure to be strongly fancied. He pushed through from the second line, worked to the lead at the mile marker, got held up for a run at a vital stage and ran a good race when fourth behind Zadaka at Kilmore last week. STEEL SCREENS (8) will be relying on WOULD YOU MIND (1) holding a forward position at the start but is a definite threat via the sprint lane. He hasn’t had much luck in three starts since a Bendigo victory on October 02. MONA MIA (9) is racing in career best form and was able to get the prize after settling last of the eleven runners early and trailing into the race in the final lap at Melton on November 06.
