OVERVIEW: SKEDADDLE SHANNON (4) is a former New South Wales pacer, which was unplaced in three starts in South Australia and now joins trainer Ash Warton. He performed very nicely when he finished second at a Geelong trial behind the Metropolitan performer Trittrittbangbang recently and he strikes a suitable field for his Victorian debut. SUMMERHILL (7) is resuming since a ninth at Charlton in May. He will be fitter from a trial fifth behind Jilliby Dingo at Maryborough last week and he was racing well against this class at the beginning of the year. RUNSAFARIRUN (5) was shuffled to four back on the markers after commencing from the inside of the second line and couldn’t work into the race when eighth at Cranbourne last outing. He scored under similar conditions at Melton on June 01 and he gets his chance to improve on his numerical form. EDDY THE BEST (6) possesses early speed and was placed after leading out then taking cover at Bendigo on June 16. He adopted similar tactics at Bendigo last week but lost his chance when he broke stride with 300m remaining. TRADE WHISPERS (2) is having his first run for trainer Anthony Bonavia and hasn’t been seen publicly since a ninth at Shepparton in February. He is nicely drawn and must be kept safe. EARLY SPEED: 4 (possible leader), 3,6 RATINGS: 4/ 5,7/ 2,3,6/ 1

Race comment
