OVERVIEW: HEZA SON OF A GUN (3) is a very quick beginner and is a good chance of getting across IDEALROCKIDEALROLL (2) at the start as he did at Hamilton last week. He ran a game race in that event and was just gunned down by Major Major on the line so he is capable of going one better. SOLESSEO MATUCA (7) is the best performed horse in this event considering he has won four races including the Shakamaker Classic but he has a difficult draw to overcome. He settled last of the six runners early but hit the line hard when a game third behind Interest Me at Maryborough last outing. IDEALROCKIDEALROLL (2) was heavily supported at his debut performance, where he raced without cover throughout and battled on well in the run to the finish for third at Hamilton. He performed nicely at the trials prior so he is worth another chance. COBBER (6) is resuming since a victory at Terang in July and hasn’t been to the trials. He is a very smart pacer and is capable of showing up without surprising. The fillies BEACH MEMORIES (5) and OZZIE JOY (8) are taking on some handy colts and geldings now but they are quality horses and cannot be left out of calculations. EARLY SPEED: 3 (likely leader), 1,2,5 RATINGS: 3,7/ 2,6/ 5,8

OVERVIEW: HEZA SON OF A GUN (3) is a very quick beginner and is a good chance of getting across IDEALROCKIDEALROLL (2) at the start as he did at Hamilton last week. He ran a game race in that event and was just gunned down by Major Major on the line so he is capable of going one better. SOLESSEO MATUCA (7) is the best performed horse in this event considering he has won four races including the Shakamaker Classic but he has a difficult draw to overcome. He settled last of the six runners early but hit the line hard when a game third behind Interest Me at Maryborough last outing. IDEALROCKIDEALROLL (2) was heavily supported at his debut performance, where he raced without cover throughout and battled on well in the run to the finish for third at Hamilton. He performed nicely at the trials prior so he is worth another chance. COBBER (6) is resuming since a victory at Terang in July and hasn’t been to the trials. He is a very smart pacer and is capable of showing up without surprising. The fillies BEACH MEMORIES (5) and OZZIE JOY (8) are taking on some handy colts and geldings now but they are quality horses and cannot be left out of calculations.
