Race comment
OVERVIEW: There are several different form lines coming into this race and it should a competitive affair. BIDE OUR TIME (6) hasn’t started since scoring in a brisk mile rate of 1.54.4 at Bendigo in June and he hasn’t been to the trials but he is a smart horse and is worth following. GRAPHITE STRIDE (9) makes his debut for trainer Shane Sanderson and was competing against strong opposition during his last preparation so he cannot be left out of calculations. He finished sixth in the Homegrown Classic Final at his latest attempt back in April and he also raced in the New South Wales Sapling Stakes earlier in the season. THEROCKGOD (7) was resuming since December when he settled at the back of the field, came out three horses wide from the 800m, sprinted quickly to dash to the front at the 500m and sustained the run to win nicely at Shepparton. He is poorly drawn but he is very promising and is worth thought again. RACING PAULA (4) produced a big finish to score over the subsequent winner Niki Nah Nah at Maryborough on July 19. She possesses a handy finishing burst and is not without a chance. STILL GRINNIN (2) ran an encouraging race last time and RENDEZVOUS (8) won a trial at Bacchus Marsh recently so he must be kept safe.
