OVERVIEW: FOREST FORCE (1) began quickly to lead, ran along at an even tempo and finished third behind Crime Boss at Maryborough after a third behind Junior Feelgood on that track. Six of his nine career victories have been over the sprint distance and he is drawn to lead again so he must be respected. ARTIZZ (8) was restrained at the start from a wide draw and settled at the rear of the field when seventh behind Our Art Work last week. She is a good chance of following the leader from her trailing draw so she can show improvement. TALEGGIO (7) began very quickly to find the lead, pulled hard and tired late when fifth over the middle distance at Kilmore. He will appreciate the drop back in distance here and he was runner up against similar opposition at Shepparton on July 11. The interesting runner is the New South Wales pacer HAVANA (5). She hasn’t beaten a horse to the line at her past four starts but she is better than that form line suggests and she will strip fitter from a Bendigo trial fifth on Monday. MILLION DOLLAR ART (2) is capable of showing up from his good draw. EARLY SPEED: 1 (likely leader), 2,3,5,6 RATINGS: 1/ 8/ 2,5,7/ 6
