OVERVIEW: PLATINUM SPARKLE (4) was well beaten by LEER (6) at their latest meeting but she commenced from the second line, raced out three horses wide from the bell and battled on well at the finish. Both of her wins this season have come when she has been able to lead so she is perfectly drawn to suit her racing pattern. LEER (6) created a big impression at her Australian debut as she led throughout and defeated a strong field by a large margin. It is unlikely that she will be able to find the lead here but she has a promising future and is worth an investment. PRAY TELL (5) pushed forward to race without cover, pressured the leader but couldn’t find the lead when second behind LEER (6) then followed with a strong third when taking on the colts and geldings in the Holloway Classic at Ballarat. She has been placed at her past nine attempts and is versatile so she should run her usual honest race. RUBY WINGATE (7) was resuming since a victory in the Home Grown Classic in April where she had no luck from the extreme draw behind LEER (6). OVERVIEW: PLATINUM SPARKLE (4) was well beaten by LEER (6) at their latest meeting but she commenced from the second line, raced out three horses wide from the bell and battled on well at the finish. Both of her wins this season have come when she has been able to lead so she is perfectly drawn to suit her racing pattern. LEER (6) created a big impression at her Australian debut as she led throughout and defeated a strong field by a large margin. It is unlikely that she will be able to find the lead here but she has a promising future and is worth an investment. PRAY TELL (5) pushed forward to race without cover, pressured the leader but couldn’t find the lead when second behind LEER (6) then followed with a strong third when taking on the colts and geldings in the Holloway Classic at Ballarat. She has been placed at her past nine attempts and is versatile so she should run her usual honest race. RUBY WINGATE (7) was resuming since a victory in the Home Grown Classic in April where she had no luck from the extreme draw behind LEER (6).
