OVERVIEW: In hindsight, it boggles the mind that former Kiwi commodity DADNDAVE (1) started $2.30 in a very moderate Yarra Valley assignment at his Australian debut. He ultimately won that race by a cricket pitch but was entitled to with his form around some of NZ’s best pacers back home. Despite doing most of his racing from the stand that bloke also has excellent gate speed and if he leads here as expected he’ll actually start shorter than last time at metro level and win with something in hand. If there is a danger it might be ITZAMAJORSURPRISE (2). She has been flying in top mares’ grade of late and will be close enough to pounce from the lovely gate. Smaller hopes here include HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN (6) who is going super but looks certain to race parked as normal along with a host of second line runners including ONA HIGHWAY TOHELL (9) (likely three poles in transit, YOUNG ROOSTER (11) and EXPLICIT CASTLE (8) (trailing his stablemate but very unlikely to run him down). EARLY SPEED: 1 (Likely Leader) + 2,4?,6 RATINGS: 1/ 2/ 6/ 9/ 11/ 8/ 13/ 10/ 12/ 5/ 4/ 7

OVERVIEW: In hindsight, it boggles the mind that former Kiwi commodity DADNDAVE (1) started $2.30 in a very moderate Yarra Valley assignment at his Australian debut. He ultimately won that race by a cricket pitch but was entitled to with his form around some of NZ’s best pacers back home. Despite doing most of his racing from the stand that bloke also has excellent gate speed and if he leads here as expected he’ll actually start shorter than last time at metro level and win with something in hand. If there is a danger it might be ITZAMAJORSURPRISE (2). She has been flying in top mares’ grade of late and will be close enough to pounce from the lovely gate. Smaller hopes here include HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN (6) who is going super but looks certain to race parked as normal along with a host of second line runners including ONA HIGHWAY TOHELL (9) (likely three poles in transit, YOUNG ROOSTER (11) and EXPLICIT CASTLE (8) (trailing his stablemate but very unlikely to run him down). EARLY SPEED: 1 (Likely Leader) + 2,4?,6 RATINGS: 1/ 2/ 6/ 9/ 11/ 8/ 13/ 10/ 12/ 5/ 4/ 7

OVERVIEW: In hindsight, it boggles the mind that former Kiwi commodity DADNDAVE (1) started $2.30 in a very moderate Yarra Valley assignment at his Australian debut. He ultimately won that race by a cricket pitch but was entitled to with his form around some of NZ’s best pacers back home. Despite doing most of his racing from the stand that bloke also has excellent gate speed and if he leads here as expected he’ll actually start shorter than last time at metro level and win with something in hand. If there is a danger it might be ITZAMAJORSURPRISE (2). She has been flying in top mares’ grade of late and will be close enough to pounce from the lovely gate. Smaller hopes here include HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN (6) who is going super but looks certain to race parked as normal along with a host of second line runners including ONA HIGHWAY TOHELL (9) (likely three poles in transit, YOUNG ROOSTER (11) and EXPLICIT CASTLE (8) (trailing his stablemate but very unlikely to run him down).
