OVERVIEW: COBBER MAC (1) races best when he can lead over the sprint journey so she has the draw and the distance to suit his racing pattern here. He came out three horses wide from eighth at the 800m, was out even wider from the 400m and ran a game second behind Blue Chipped at Shepparton last week. ROCKS CAN ROLL (5) produced a strong effort for third last week after he made a mid-race move then started to race fiercely when angling for a trail approaching the bell lap. This race is of similar standard and he rates as a value hope. ANOTHER SPARKY (8) led out then took a trail and tried hard for second behind High Flux last week. He is drawn to trail behind the likely leader so he must be considered as a winning chance. POWER PASS (2) missed out narrowly when a fast finishing second at Maryborough and followed with a second at Ararat so he is worth thought. AMBER ALERT (4), JOEYS HANGOVER (6) and LAGOM (9) could all show up without surprising in an open race. EARLY SPEED: 1 (likely leader), 2,4,5,6,7 ANOTHER SPARKY (8), POWER PASS (2) RATINGS: 1/ 5,8/ 2,6/ 9/ 4

He came out three horses wide from eighth at the 800m, was out even wider from the 400m and ran a game second behind Blue Chipped at Shepparton last week. ROCKS CAN ROLL (5) produced a strong effort for third last week after he made a mid-race move then started to race fiercely when angling for a trail approaching the bell lap. OVERVIEW: COBBER MAC (1) races best when he can lead over the sprint journey so she has the draw and the distance to suit his racing pattern here. He came out three horses wide from eighth at the 800m, was out even wider from the 400m and ran a game second behind Blue Chipped at Shepparton last week. ROCKS CAN ROLL (5) produced a strong effort for third last week after he made a mid-race move then started to race fiercely when angling for a trail approaching the bell lap. This race is of similar standard and he rates as a value hope. ANOTHER SPARKY (8) led out then took a trail and tried hard for second behind High Flux last week. He is drawn to trail behind the likely leader so he must be considered as a winning chance. POWER PASS (2) missed out narrowly when a fast finishing second at Maryborough and followed with a second at Ararat so he is worth thought. AMBER ALERT (4), JOEYS HANGOVER (6) and LAGOM (9) could all show up without surprising in an open race.
