The first thing you must decide when analysing this event is whether you envisage a solid tempo or not. Most indications would suggest they’ll go quick enough and if they do then SONNY WEAVER (8) clearly gets the nod. That guy was below his best last start but he possesses a might sprint when circumstances suit and should just overwhelm them if he gets the race he wants. Should that mid-race pressure not materialise then ROCKASAKI (2) can also bounce back from an uncharacteristically poor performance last night (where excuses were tendered) and lead these all the way. Other leading chances in a very tricky contest are BOY FROM BONDI (5) who was flying a few weeks back and returns here from a short sabbatical and IM NO OUTLAW (4) who was supported by luminaries like Rob Auber and Dan Mielicki in the Echuca Cup and has found a new lease of life in the Julie Douglas barn. OVERVIEW: The last leg of any Quad can give a grown man goose bumps and this one is no different. The first thing you must decide when analysing this event is whether you envisage a solid tempo or not. Most indications would suggest they’ll go quick enough and if they do then SONNY WEAVER (8) clearly gets the nod. That guy was below his best last start but he possesses a might sprint when circumstances suit and should just overwhelm them if he gets the race he wants. Should that mid-race pressure not materialise then ROCKASAKI (2) can also bounce back from an uncharacteristically poor performance last night (where excuses were tendered) and lead these all the way. Race comment
OVERVIEW: The last leg of any Quad can give a grown man goose bumps and this one is no different. The first thing you must decide when analysing this event is whether you envisage a solid tempo or not. Most indications would suggest they’ll go quick enough and if they do then SONNY WEAVER (8) clearly gets the nod. That guy was below his best last start but he possesses a might sprint when circumstances suit and should just overwhelm them if he gets the race he wants. Should that mid-race pressure not materialise then ROCKASAKI (2) can also bounce back from an uncharacteristically poor performance last night (where excuses were tendered) and lead these all the way. Other leading chances in a very tricky contest are BOY FROM BONDI (5) who was flying a few weeks back and returns here from a short sabbatical and IM NO OUTLAW (4) who was supported by luminaries like Rob Auber and Dan Mielicki in the Echuca Cup and has found a new lease of life in the Julie Douglas barn.
