OVERVIEW: VILLACCI (1) pushed forward to race on the outside of the leader and dominated his rivals to win in fast time at Shepparton last week. This is a field of more depth but he is drawn to run a big race again. UNCLE JORD (6) settled down last early and ran a terrific race when he missed out narrowly in the Wangaratta Cup. He is clearly the class horse of the field being a National Ratings 93 assessed pacer but he will be giving the in-form pacer VILLACCI (1) a start from his awkward draw. BRACKENREID (4) is an honest pacer and had no luck after being caught wide early in the Wangaratta Cup after a fifth in the Boort Cup. He missed out by a narrow margin in a slick mile rate of 1.53.1 at Bendigo prior and he should go well in the small field of six runners. JOE NIEN (5) was runner up behind the smart pacer Boots Electric in a Metropolitan event on January 23 so he has the ability to mix it with this class. OVERVIEW: VILLACCI (1) pushed forward to race on the outside of the leader and dominated his rivals to win in fast time at Shepparton last week. This is a field of more depth but he is drawn to run a big race again. UNCLE JORD (6) settled down last early and ran a terrific race when he missed out narrowly in the Wangaratta Cup. He is clearly the class horse of the field being a National Ratings 93 assessed pacer but he will be giving the in-form pacer VILLACCI (1) a start from his awkward draw. BRACKENREID (4) is an honest pacer and had no luck after being caught wide early in the Wangaratta Cup after a fifth in the Boort Cup. He missed out by a narrow margin in a slick mile rate of 1.53.1 at Bendigo prior and he should go well in the small field of six runners. JOE NIEN (5) was runner up behind the smart pacer Boots Electric in a Metropolitan event on January 23 so he has the ability to mix it with this class.
