OVERVIEW: When it comes to these early 2YO events it’s easy to get caught up in rumour and potential but much, much wiser to trust your eyes and mind. The fact is, MYKORONA (7) has the score on the board. On debut she flashed home behind Valour Stride then went 1:57.8 at Beckley Park. That’s the gold standard form for this Premiere Stakes so she rates on top and the other established performer SOLESSEO MATUCA (8) rates as her obvious danger. Ok, so now we assess the debutantes; and they both look pretty smart. BRUTALLY HANDSOME (3) is son Art Major and Group 1-winning mare showed gate speed and ticker winning at the trials here recently so he represents a proper winning hope as does BOTANIST (1) a son of Roll With Joe that has launched late in both of his trials and looks to possess something indefinably special.
