OVERVIEW: TREMBITA (3) continues to race in good form and should prove hard to beat. He missed out narrowly after leaving a trailing position at the 1300m (1-3) to race without cover at Kilmore then finished fourth at a Melton trial effort on Monday, where he endured a hard run. He is likely to give a forward showing from the good draw. MISSKONTIKI (1) is backing up quickly from her winning effort at Shepparton on Thursday where she led throughout. She is a fast beginner and is perfectly drawn so she has the conditions to suit her here. BRONSKI ROYAL (9) gained the perfect trip and got home best to beat Murano at Kilmore last week. He is a strong type so the step up in distance is an advantage and he looms as one of the leading chances again. RIGHTEOUSLY (2) settled at the back of the field and couldn’t work into the race when ninth last outing. She produced a big finish when third behind Vivid Stride prior and she should be finishing off well against this line up. The former South Australian trained pacer BOOKER BAY (11) joins trainer Kate Hargreaves and must be kept safe. He won at Globe Derby in November but he has been unplaced in all three of his Victorian starts to date, two at Mildura in October and once when being prepared by Brad Angove towards the start of his career. He missed out narrowly after leaving a trailing position at the 1300m (1-3) to race without cover at Kilmore then finished fourth at a Melton trial effort on Monday, where he endured a hard run. He is likely to give a forward showing from the good draw. MISSKONTIKI (1) is backing up quickly from her winning effort at Shepparton on Thursday where she led throughout. She is a fast beginner and is perfectly drawn so she has the conditions to suit her here. BRONSKI ROYAL (9) gained the perfect trip and got home best to beat Murano at Kilmore last week. He is a strong type so the step up in distance is an advantage and he looms as one of the leading chances again. RIGHTEOUSLY (2) settled at the back of the field and couldn’t work into the race when ninth last outing. She produced a big finish when third behind Vivid Stride prior and she should be finishing off well against this line up. The former South Australian trained pacer BOOKER BAY (11) joins trainer Kate Hargreaves and must be kept safe. Race comment
OVERVIEW: TREMBITA (3) continues to race in good form and should prove hard to beat. He missed out narrowly after leaving a trailing position at the 1300m (1-3) to race without cover at Kilmore then finished fourth at a Melton trial effort on Monday, where he endured a hard run. He is likely to give a forward showing from the good draw. MISSKONTIKI (1) is backing up quickly from her winning effort at Shepparton on Thursday where she led throughout. She is a fast beginner and is perfectly drawn so she has the conditions to suit her here. BRONSKI ROYAL (9) gained the perfect trip and got home best to beat Murano at Kilmore last week. He is a strong type so the step up in distance is an advantage and he looms as one of the leading chances again. RIGHTEOUSLY (2) settled at the back of the field and couldn’t work into the race when ninth last outing. She produced a big finish when third behind Vivid Stride prior and she should be finishing off well against this line up. The former South Australian trained pacer BOOKER BAY (11) joins trainer Kate Hargreaves and must be kept safe. He won at Globe Derby in November but he has been unplaced in all three of his Victorian starts to date, two at Mildura in October and once when being prepared by Brad Angove towards the start of his career.
