OVERVIEW: ILLAWONG JOVIAL (9) faces a tough task from the outside of the second row around the Wedderburn circuit but he is the class runner of the field and should run a big race. He restrained at the start, settled down at the tail of the field and charged home out wide on the track when an eye-catching fourth at Stawell last week. LAGOM (8) appears to be particularly well graded in this event and is capable of improving on her numerical form. She ran home well for third behind Imapest at Cobram three starts back. NIKKS PICK (1) is a former Tasmanian trained mare, which finished second behind DEMONSTRATOR (5) at her local debut when she tried to lead throughout. She should be fitter from that run and is drawn to give a forward showing. JOANANDI (3) finished quickly from midfield when she scored at Kilmore two starts back and followed with a fourth behind Lilnova at Bendigo. Her two runs since coming from South Australia have been sound and she is worth thought again. OVERVIEW: ILLAWONG JOVIAL (9) faces a tough task from the outside of the second row around the Wedderburn circuit but he is the class runner of the field and should run a big race. He restrained at the start, settled down at the tail of the field and charged home out wide on the track when an eye-catching fourth at Stawell last week. LAGOM (8) appears to be particularly well graded in this event and is capable of improving on her numerical form. She ran home well for third behind Imapest at Cobram three starts back. NIKKS PICK (1) is a former Tasmanian trained mare, which finished second behind DEMONSTRATOR (5) at her local debut when she tried to lead throughout. She should be fitter from that run and is drawn to give a forward showing. JOANANDI (3) finished quickly from midfield when she scored at Kilmore two starts back and followed with a fourth behind Lilnova at Bendigo. Her two runs since coming from South Australia have been sound and she is worth thought again.
