OVERVIEW: There are myriad clashes on tonight’s card between your solid, reliable, mature campaigners and younger players emerging through the Vicbred Super Series and, in total truth, it’s awfully tough to measure one against the other. Here, representing the youth brigade are STARSBYTHEBEACH (5) who went through the VSS and MINISCULE (7) who didn’t. Quite early in her career a decision was made not to overuse the dramatic early pace that STARSBYTHEBEACH (5) possesses as she closes off better when that petrol gets saved. In this grade however, over 1650m, expect The Puppet (C Alford) to rifle out early and secure the front. The milk went bad in her VSS final but her three prior runs were top notch and if she gets the top there should be little pressure and she should probably salute. MINISCULE (8) is stepping up sharply in grade but can reel off a handy final half and looms as one of two serious threats along with KEAYANG DESTINY (8) who drops dramatically in grade but has an awkward draw to overcome. OVERVIEW: There are myriad clashes on tonight’s card between your solid, reliable, mature campaigners and younger players emerging through the Vicbred Super Series and, in total truth, it’s awfully tough to measure one against the other. Here, representing the youth brigade are STARSBYTHEBEACH (5) who went through the VSS and MINISCULE (7) who didn’t. Quite early in her career a decision was made not to overuse the dramatic early pace that STARSBYTHEBEACH (5) possesses as she closes off better when that petrol gets saved. In this grade however, over 1650m, expect The Puppet (C Alford) to rifle out early and secure the front. The milk went bad in her VSS final but her three prior runs were top notch and if she gets the top there should be little pressure and she should probably salute. MINISCULE (8) is stepping up sharply in grade but can reel off a handy final half and looms as one of two serious threats along with KEAYANG DESTINY (8) who drops dramatically in grade but has an awkward draw to overcome. OVERVIEW: There are myriad clashes on tonight’s card between your solid, reliable, mature campaigners and younger players emerging through the Vicbred Super Series and, in total truth, it’s awfully tough to measure one against the other. Here, representing the youth brigade are STARSBYTHEBEACH (5) who went through the VSS and MINISCULE (7) who didn’t. Quite early in her career a decision was made not to overuse the dramatic early pace that STARSBYTHEBEACH (5) possesses as she closes off better when that petrol gets saved. In this grade however, over 1650m, expect The Puppet (C Alford) to rifle out early and secure the front. The milk went bad in her VSS final but her three prior runs were top notch and if she gets the top there should be little pressure and she should probably salute.
