Race comment

Eased early when 5m 5th $4.40 (Fr8) Elroy Jetson NZ Menangle 1609m (1:54.8) C6194 race May 25 then failed to get a clear run when 5m 5th $3.70 (Sr1) Christmas Toyboy NZ Penrith 2125m (1:58.3) C5783 race Jun 4. Had excuses past couple and easy winner at this track and distance three back; capable of winning this if he can overcome an awkward draw.

Suffered a severe check when 40m 7th $16 (Sr4) The Golden Cross NZ Penrith 1720m (1:54.7) C5787 race May 28 then inconvenienced and held up for a run early in the straight when 3.7m 3rd $8.50 (Sr3) Christmas Toyboy NZ Penrith 2125m (1:58.3) C5783 race Jun 4. Drawn the second row but can't discount claims on sound recent form.

Race comment

Out of position at the start when 23.5m 8th $23 (Sr1) Van Laddie NZ Tamworth 1609m (1:57.9) R67120 race May 17 then finished 12m 5th $18 (Fr3) Kid Montana Newcastle 1609m (1:54.3) R68120 race May 30. Just out of the placings last start and drawn the pole here; likely leader in this run and could be hard to go past.
