Sound effort when 4.2m 2nd $9.00 (Fr7) Bettors Pocket NZ Newcastle 1609m (1:56.2) R5968 race Mar 9 then held on well when 6.5m 2nd $7.00 (Fr2) Backintown Penrith 1720m (1:55.6) R6070 race Mar 19. Improving with racing this prep and ready to peak; winer at this stage last campaign and contender here despite a poor draw.

Broke at the start when 56m 6th $8.00 (Fr7) For All We Know Goulburn 1710m (1:54.9) R4555 race Jan 19 then handy win $2.90 (Fr3) over Delightful Jackie 3.2m Wagga Paceway 2270m (1:59.4) R4955 race Mar 31. Looked good winning first-up and has placed second-up before; drawn ideally and not out of it.

Race comment

Back from a spell. Commanding winner $1.20 (Fr5) over Major Mondo 25m Newcastle 2030m (2:01.2) R3953 race Dec 13 then looked good defeating Glen Innes Lad 1.5m $1.10 (Fr4) Newcastle 2030m (2:01.7) R3956 race Dec 21. Undefeated in 3 career starts and drawn well for resumption; one to beat if primed.
