OVERVIEW: Former gifted filly/mare Fusisi is yet to strike a significant blow at stud but she may have delivered a smart one here in SOHO ALMASI (2). A Mach Three debutante with gun mentor Michael Stanley she beat freakish debutante winner and stablemate Soho Lanikai at her first trial then led them up and was pipped on the line in her 2nd trial rating sub-1:58 and braining all her other adversaries. It's always a dangerous game launching into race rookies but she should be too good and if she leads as expected then OZZIE PLAYGIRL (1) should almost certainly join her on the podium after a very solid debut effort at her home track, Bendigo. Most of the rest are a very long way from being the finished product but the reports around the beautifully bred NIKI NAH NAH (8) are excellent for the future so she can improve at start two with a peg-line journey and JAZIAH (4) warrant respect after hitting the line very well off an economical trail in the same race that many of these contest won by the clearly talented Sheshell Rock. EARLY SPEED: 2,7
