Eased early when 9m 7th $31 (Fr4) Salty Robyn NZ Menangle 1609m (1:54.7) R6991 race Jan 21 then good effort to place 0.5m 2nd (Fr2) Sam Is Perfection Penrith 2125m (1:58.0) R6478 race Jan 30. Has a very good record at this track and distance (4 from 7 ) and can atone for last start narrow defeat here.

Race comment

Checked when 13m 3rd $23 (Sr2) Majestic Major NZ Bankstown 2140m (2:02.7) C5790 race Jan 24 then handy effort when 2m 4th (Sr3) Countdown Penrith 1720m (1:57.1) C5790 race Jan 30. Usually thereabouts and suited here; each way.

Race comment

Safely held when 11.5m 2nd $15 (Fr2) Ruthless Armbro Menangle 2300m (1:55.7) C7587 race Jan 14 then eased early when 13.2m 10th $21 (Fr5) Overlap NZ Menangle 1609m (1:54.1) C7694 race Jan 28. Minor excuse last start and contender despite an awkward draw on consecutive minor placings prior.

Race comment

Raced wide early when 15.5m 5th $5.00 (Sr3) Majestic Major NZ Bankstown 2140m (2:02.7) C5790 race Jan 24 then battled on gamely defeating Stirling William 0.4m (Sr4) Penrith 1720m (1:57.1) C5790 race Jan 30. Raced wide last start but still won; drawn poorly but stays in the mix.
