Covered extra ground when 27m 6th $16 (Fr4) Jossie James Albion Park 1660m (1:51.4) R92100 race Jul 20 then good effort when 2.5m 2nd $9.50 (Fr1) Benicio Menangle 1609m (1:52.2) R8199 race Sep 7. Ran an improved race last start when a close second at this track and distance and could go one better here.

Race comment

Sound effort when 4m 3rd $13 (Fr5) Joes Star Of Mia Menangle 1609m (1:52.8) R72113 race Aug 24 then eased early and failed to get a clear run when beaten 6.5m 5th $7.50 (Fr5) Cruz NZ Menangle 1609m (1:52.7) R83116 race Sep 7. Unlucky last start and fitter now; winner of 1 from 3 at this stage in the prep and stays in the mix.

Race comment

Raced well when 9m 7th $31 (Fr2) Islandspecialmajor Menangle 2300m (1:54.5) R83120 race Aug 31 then inconvenienced and raced roughly when beaten 11.7m 9th $10.00 (Fr3) Cruz NZ Menangle 1609m (1:52.7) R83116 race Sep 7. Drawn well and likely leader here; suited and definite contender on better runs earlier in the prep.

Race comment

Good effort when 2.5m 2nd $5.50 (Fr1) Lord Zin Zan NZ Menangle 2300m (1:54.8) R80116 race Aug 31 then handy effort when 6m 3rd $3.20 (Fr8) Benicio Menangle 1609m (1:52.2) R8199 race Sep 7. Goes well in this distance range (6 wins from 12 starts) and not out of it on consecutive minor placings at past two runs.
