Bathurst R3 Bling It On Pace

Race comment

Resuming. Looked good defeating Lord Denzel 4m $3.00 (Fr1) Parkes 2040m (2:01.9) C0 race Feb 24 then tired over the latter stages when 77.5m 9th $21 (Fr2) Write About Lexy Dubbo 2120m (2:00.0) C0 race Mar 6. Resuming after a break andi is a proven performer first-up (1 from 2); consider if fancied.

Raced wide early when 17m 7th $3.80 (Fr4) Grecian Holiday Bathurst 1730m (1:59.6) R4651 race Jul 17 then impressive winner $2.90 (Fr1) over Llanfair Rhiannon 9m Bathurst 1730m (1:59.5) R4049 race Jul 24. Tougher here but can't dismiss entirely on latest effort.

Resuming from a spell. Ran 13.7m 7th (6) Cranbourne NZ Timaru 2000m (1:59.9) Mr4050 race Apr 24 then fought on very well to place 3.7m 3rd (6) Miss Ruby Sunshine NZ Forbury Park 2200m (2:00.7) Mr4450 race May 9. Back from a spell but prepared for this with consecutive wins at recent trials; hard to beat if he can reproduce the trial form in this race.

Suffered gear malfunction when 38m 10th $81 (Fr2) Sophie Brown Bathurst 2260m (2:00.5) R5061 race Jul 17 then galloped out and hung in during the race when beaten 35m 7th $71 (Fr3) Convair Hustler NZ Bathurst 1730m (2:00.3) R4954 race Jul 24. Safely held again.

Finished 5.5m 3rd $2.20 (Fr5) Redbank Tommy Bathurst 1730m (2:00.7) R4151 race Jul 10 then covered extra ground when 12.5m 4th $5.00 (Fr4) Carinya Gold Bathurst 1730m (2:02.5) R4151 race Jul 17. Yet to win from 10 starts but thereabouts in most of them; in the mix form wider exotics.

Finished 12.2m 2nd $8.00 (Fr3) Amanapour Dubbo 2120m (2:02.6) R4551 race Jul 14 then broke during running when 25m 4th $41 (Fr2) Better Than Grange Bathurst 1730m (2:00.4) R4652 race Jul 24. Will need to find extra.

Race comment

Handy effort when 4.7m 3rd $2.60 (Fr3) Lord Denzel Bathurst 1730m (1:59.2) R4753 race Jul 17 then failed to get a clear run when beaten 11.7m 9th $7.50 (Sr2) Matamua Bathurst 1730m (2:00.0) 3F4458 race Jul 24. Unucky last start but proven at this track and distance and drawn well here; contender on sound placing two back.

Race comment

Raced wide late when 2.7m 3rd $4.80 (Sr4) Warraderry Cowra 1700m (2:02.8) C0 race Jun 23 then handy effort when 4.5m 2nd $3.30 (Fr2) Pure Charisma Bathurst 2260m (2:02.7) C0 race Jun 26. Yet to mis a place in four runs this prep and fitter now; likely leader from a soft draw here and coiuld be hard to rund down.
