Race comment

Eased early and failed to get a clear run when 22m 7th $26 (Fr9) Hardhitter Menangle 1609m (1:51.4) 3C0-3C6 race Jun 22 then tightened during running when 29m 5th $3.60 (Fr3) Commander Kirk Menangle 1609m (1:50.8) R5365 race Jul 2. Well graded and could atone for past two unlucky runs from a suitable draw here.

Racing consistently and goes well at this track and distance; definite contender with better luck in running than in recent starts.

Race comment

First start since spell. Handy effort when 4m 2nd $19 (Fr9) Repartee NZ Newcastle 2030m (2:01.7) C0 race Mar 30 then scored handily over Mammals Destiny 2.7m $4.80 (Fr1) Newcastle 1609m (1:56.3) C0-C1 race Apr 6. Drawn wide here but has the early speed to go forward if the driver so desires and sit outside the leader; fitness the query however.
