RACE COMMENT
SCRUFFY DOOLAN (4) led last start over the mile and was a good second to Ajay Volstead which had the cold sit on his back. The handicaps see him well placed in this race. BANFF (6) can begin quickly from the stand start. Ran on nicely last start behind Ajay Volstead to get into third. His latest win was when facing a 10 metre handicap in a heat of the Jim McNeil at Albion Park in March. CALL ME TROUBLE (8) has returned to form in recent starts with a strong second two starts ago in very fast time behind Thebestbourbon before running well for a midfield finish last start after starting from the widest gate. Needs to bring his best manners to figure in this. SON OF A SUN (2) is capable of a quick getaway on his day. If he is able to step away cleanly and quickly he can run well in this race off the front mark.
