RACE COMMENT
KIVICI (8) starts off a 20 metre handicap in this race but has often faced much bigger handicaps including last start when coming off 40 metres. He hasn’t won for some time but has raced well when doing everything right. VOLTAIN (4) was an impressive winner last start closing best late to score. He again starts off the front tapes in a short course stand and looks well suited. If he can secure a good run in the race he can be in the finish again. MELPARK MAGIC (7) was a good winner three race starts ago before heading out for a spell. He has trialled recently and was good enough there to run second to a very smart pacer in Iron Clad. DOWN SOUTH DAISY (6) has only had two career starts for one win and one fourth where she made a break mid race. She has shown ability at trials and could measure up on her best behaviour.
